World Veterinary Day 2018 Celebrated in Bangladesh

Bangladesh Veterinary Association(BVA), Department of Livestock Services (DLS) and The Vet Executive (TVE) has jointly organized World Veterinary Day-2018 on Saturday 28 April 2018 in Bangladesh with the theme of WVD “The role of Veterinary profession in sustainable development to improve livelihoods, food security and safety”. Since 2007, The Vet Executive, an association for the veterinarian of Bangladesh has been celebrating this event every year. This year Bangladesh Veterinary Association (BVA), Department of Livestock Services (DLS) and The Vet Executive have jointly organized World Veterinary Day. The Celebration includes a day long program through the World Veterinary Day Rally, Seminar and Council of BVA Dhaka Division and Dhaka metropolitan Chapter. All the people of Veterinary Sector, DG of DLS, policymakers, Livestock Minister, Organizing secretary of the ruling party were present in the celebrations. Advocate Md. Kamrul Islam MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Food , Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest of the program. Krishibid A F M Bahauddin Nasim MP , Organizing Secretary, Bangladesh Awami League & Member, Standing Committee on Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources , Md. Raisul Alam Mondal, Secretary, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, Dr. Md. Ainul Haque, Director General; Department of Livestock Services (DLS), Dr. S. M. Nazrul Islam,President, Bangladesh Veterinary Association(BVA) and Dr. Mohammad Habibur Rahman Mollah, Secretary General , Bangladesh Veterinary Association(BVA)  were present as Special Guest of the program. Key note paper was presented by Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Technical Advisor,One Health  Bangladesh. Former Professor Dr. Ismail Hossain, Department of Anatomy and Histology, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh has Rewarded “The Vet Executive Honor 2018” for his enormous contribution to the veterinary profession by “The Vet Executive”, an association for the veterinarian of Bangladesh.
